The Anti-Racism Advocacy committee focuses on advancing racial equity in our congregation and community, guided by our faith and the call to love our neighbors.

As followers of Christ, we affirm that every person bears the image of God. We acknowledge the historic and ongoing harm of racism and commit ourselves to the lifelong work of repentance, repair, and solidarity with our Black, Indigenous, and Brown siblings.
Creation Care Committee
Caring for God's creation is an act of faith
Oak Grove's Green Committee works to conserve water and make Oak Grove net zero — carbon neutral through conservation, purchasing or producing clean energy for 100% or more of our electricity, and offsetting carbon emissions from fossil fuel use.
As an Earth Care Congregation in the PC(USA), we live out our faith by caring for God's creation through worship, education, and sustainable practices. Each year we host an EV Expo showcasing electric vehicles and clean energy options for our community.
Housing & Economic Justice Committee
Called to respond. Refusing to look away.
Our community is in a housing crisis. Families and young people are one emergency away from losing stability, and the need is real and present in our own neighborhoods. As followers of Christ, we are called not to look away — but to respond, adapt, and show up.
For Oak Grove, that has looked like partnering with housing organizations like Housing in Action, Aeon, and Agate, becoming the fiscal sponsor of Bloomington Mutual Aid to provide emergency rent relief, and opening our building to Oasis for Youth — an independent organization serving young people ages 16–24 in Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
LGBTQIA+ & Rainbow Fellowship

At Oak Grove, every person is welcome — fully and without condition. We openly affirm and celebrate our LGBTQIA2S+ siblings in all aspects of church life, from our pews to our leadership.
Our Rainbow Fellowship brings together LGBTQIA2S+ members, families, and allies for connection, support, and community. Our restrooms are fully accessible for all genders.

We support a diverse range of organizations locally and globally, weave mission into our worship and education, open our facilities widely, and seek God's guidance in all we do. Mission isn't a program — it's how we show up in the world.
