Church Life

Church life is more than praying together. Oak Grove actively responds to the needs of our members, planning education opportunities, offering music programs, and visiting the home-bound, and more.

Youth Outreach

We invest a significant amount of our resources in children, youth, and family programming.

Adult Education

Faith Formation provides multiple opportunities and resources for lifelong faith development.

Fellowship

Church life at Oak Grove includes a multitude of fellowship and outreach activities for the young and old.

Youth Outreach

Oak Grove offers daycare during worship services. We also host a week-long Vacation Bible School in the summer, as well as youth retreats, student lock-ins, and the opportunity to attend summer camp through the Presbytery.

During the school year our youth programs take place on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. and on WOW Wednesdays beginning with a freewill offering at 5:45 p.m.

Our Children’s Ministry nurtures Christian faith formation of children through creative forms of education, fellowship, outreach, and music, and to provide a safe environment that is loving and accepting of children.

Oak Grove’s Youth Ministry provides leadership, planning, and coordination of programs and ministries for senior high and middle school youth, including opportunities for sharing stories of faith and faith development, leadership, outreach and mission, and interconnectedness and relationships with the whole church.

Adult Education

Oak Grove’s Adult Faith Formation provides multiple opportunities and resources for lifelong faith development (including speakers, Bible study, lessons on spiritual practices, book studies), to encourage community, and to promote lifelong learning and the application of knowledge to daily life. We seek to work collaboratively with Oak Grove staff and committees.

Most Faith Formation presentations take place on Sunday mornings from 9-10 a.m. during the school year Often these are live-streamed via Zoom.

There is also a virtual Bible Study on Thursdays at noon during the school year.

For more details or the zoom invite to any education events, check our church calendar.

Outreach Fellowship

Church families form stronger bonds more when we do more together than pray.

That’s why there are several active social groups and volunteer opportunities within our church life. There are people who meet to garden, to perform arts and crafts, to ring bells, sing in the choir, take trips, or even just meet for coffee and talk.

There are several opportunities at Oak Grove to meet new friends and get to know your neighbors better, all while having fun and making a difference!
