Children and Youth
Jesus welcomed the little children. So do we! We invest a significant amount of our resources in children, youth, and family programming.
Oak Grove’s Children’s Ministry nurtures Christian faith formation of children through creative forms of education, fellowship, outreach, and music, and to provide a safe environment that is loving and accepting of children. Oak Grove offer a week-long Vacation Bible School in the summer.
Oak Grove’s Youth Ministry provides leadership, planning, and coordination of programs and ministries for senior high and middle school youth, including opportunities for sharing stories of faith and faith development, leadership, outreach and mission, and interconnectedness and relationships with the whole church.
Oak Grove’s Adult Faith Formation provides multiple opportunities and resources for lifelong faith development (including speakers, Bible study, lessons on spiritual practices, book studies), to encourage community, and to promote lifelong learning and the application of knowledge to daily life. We seek to work collaboratively with Oak Grove staff and committees.
Oak Grove Deacons are responsive to the needs of the church and its members. Deacon sub-committees include Alert & Visitation, Communion, Fellowship, Flower Ministry, Friend-to-Friend, Health Ministries, Membership, Nominating, Prayer Shawl Ministry and Simple Meals.
Oak Grove’s Welcome & Hospitality Committee works to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through the Gospel, to provide a welcoming and safe environment for visitors, to encourage members to become reflective of the ethnic diversity of our community, to support personal evangelism through adult and youth education, and to facilitate and coordinate opportunities for fellowship among members and friends of Oak Grove.
