Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a volunteer organization that builds and delivers beds to children across the United States. Oak Grove will be partnering with the MN-Twin Cities South Chapter centered out of Burnsville. The Twin Cities South chapter is funded locally, and the work is done by local volunteers. The beds are delivered to kids aged 3–17, all with no cost to the family.
Upcoming Oak Grove/SHP Events
Oak Grove volunteers will be building beds on Thursday, August 13 (5:30–7:45 pm) for kids in our community who are without one. This south metro (Burnsville) event is for adults and children aged 12 and older. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.
We will cut, sand, assemble and finish bed components. No experience is necessary and SHP will supply all the tools and protective gear. Water will be available.
There will be a potluck meal in Lisa & Bill Pomroy’s backyard beforehand. Folks can carpool from church at 3:15 pm to the potluck.

Watch for good sales on NEW twin-sized sheets, comforters, and standard-sized pillows. Bed-in-a-Bag sets are preferred, and gender-neutral bedding is great! - Build Beds for Kids: Thursday, August 13 (5:30–7:45 p.m.)
