Free Concert! Bremen Town Musicians: Thursday, April 23 (2:00 pm)

All are invited to enjoy a thoughtful, funny and entertaining performance of “The Bremen Town Musicians” in the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church sanctuary. This is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale about four aging, unwanted farm animals – a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster – who run away to become musicians in the city of Bremen. Their journey and this story celebrate friendship, cleverness, and finding a new purpose.

The presentation is by four members of Raison D’Etre Opera Company, French for ‘reason to be’. The four cast members are Deb Carbaugh, Angie Paulson, Bob Beverage, and Andy Elfenbein, and directed by Mark Lynch. Judy Cooper is the accompanist for this group. The group has been rehearsing here at Oak Grove, and this is their “thank” you for the use of the sanctuary space. The performance time is 40 minutes and is appropriate for and enjoyed by all ages!
