March 5 Ash Wednesday Service

Worship service at 6:30 p.m. for all ages following Wednesday night dinner (5:45 p.m.). Please note this service will not be livestreamed.

The service will include imposition of ashes, communion, and opportunities for some “hands-on” activities of service, like putting together birthday bags for VEAP, tying fleece blankets, and writing cards to elected officials on justice issues.

March 5-April 19 Lent

Lent is the time to reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus: we slow down, take time, and examine our internal spiritual lives and the way we live out our Christian faith in the world around us. This Lent, we at Oak Grove will pay special attention to how our care for the environment not only preserves the beauty of what God created but also ensures that those who are most vulnerable to climate change have a better chance at a stable future.  Join us in following along with the PC(USA)’s Hunger Program Tread Lightly for Lent Action and Reflection calendar. Hard copies will be available at church, but you may find using the linked copy gives you easier access to some of the reflection links!

April 13, Palm Sunday

9:00 am Brunch: Come and enjoy good food and fellowship! The menu will include egg bake, scrambled eggs, mini muffins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, milk and water. A goodwill offering will be received. Hosted by the Deacons.
10:30 am Worship: in-person and livestreamed.

April 17, Maundy Thursday 6:00pm in-person service only. We will share a light meal, worship, and communion around the table in the social hall.

April 18, Good Friday 7:00 pm in-person & livestreamed contemplative service.

Saturday, April 19 Family Easter Egg Hunt at 3:00 pm outside on church grounds (weather permitting). We are hoping for a large turnout!

April 20, Easter Sunday (three services)

6:30 am (in-person only) outside at the Columbarium, weather permitting.
8:15 am (in-person only)
10:30 am (in-person & livestreamed) in the Sanctuary with choir/orchestra.
