Oak Grove Presbyterian Church is open to all who seek the warmth and strength a community of faith can provide. We are particularly open to the Spirit of God in our midst as we are growing in faith, in love, in inclusiveness, in knowledge, in commitment to Christ, in service & outreach and in mission. The congregation of Oak Grove values its roots that go back more than 150 years, even as we welcome a new understanding of today that comes through growth and change.

Sunday Adult Education (9:15 - 10:15)

Feb. 5: Oasis Update- Join the team from Oasis for Youth on a
tour of the Oasis area downstairs and learn about the great things that are happening in this important ministry right here at Oak Grove.

Feb. 12: Rich Miller & Bill Chadwick will introduce us to the
theology of Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong, a contemporary theologian of progressive Christianity. His book titles include Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism, Why Christianity Must Change or Die, and Jesus for the Non-Religious. Spong’s ideas are both compelling and controversial. These 3 sessions (Feb. 12, 26 and March 11) will lead to lively discussion.

Feb. 19: Intergenerational Sunday (in Gideon Pond Hall)
“Taking Care of God’s Creation” – All ages will gather to participate in hands-on learning about our earth and how we can be faithful stewards of God’s beautiful creation.
