Seeking to follow Jesus,
wherever the Spirit leads
Proud of our heritage;
looking forward to a great future
Our heart is mission
A fabulous choir and music program
Extensive educational and fellowship opportunities for all ages
Working for justice in the local community and around the world
A high-risk, low-anxiety church
because we rest in the grace of God
Jesus welcomed the little children.
So do we!
We don’t have all the answers;
we wrestle with the questions
Small enough to have a family feeling;
large enough to make a difference

Oak Grove Presbyterian Church is open to all who seek the warmth and strength a community of faith can provide. We are particularly open to the Spirit of God in our midst as we are growing in faith, in love, in inclusiveness, in knowledge, in commitment to Christ, in service & outreach and in mission. The congregation of Oak Grove values its roots that go back more than 150 years, even as we welcome a new understanding of today that comes through growth and change.

"Understanding the Middle East - A Hope for Peace" Presenter: Steve Lear
Steve Lear has a passion for creating bridges between people with divergent views on important issues. He fervently believes that these bridges will lead to peaceful coexistence between people and even between nations. It is this premise that prompted him to develop
the presentation you are about to see.
In “Understanding the Middle East – A Hope for Peace”, Steve has helped to create a
platform by which to generate discussion, share ideas, and encourage further dialogue about
a place that desperately needs bridges of understanding between its people and between its supporters. Steve believes that if peace can come to Jerusalem, indeed, peace will be possible throughout the world.
Aside from co-developing this presentation with the Jewish Community Relations Council of
Minnesota and the Dakotas, Steve is also founder of Nechama – Jewish Disaster Response, an organization that assists in preparing for, and responding to natural disasters. Both of these
programs are national models that are in the process of being replicated in other parts of the country.
Steve and his wife Sheri are the parents of seven children. Their home is a hotbed for “divergent opinions” on important issues, and bridges are always in the process of construction.
